Frankenstein’s monster, inspired by Christopher Lee in the Hammer film. Ballpoint pen drawing.
This is a series of sketches for a comic short story I never drew, involving a flying trolley ride. Those from Pittsburgh, may note certain landmarks including: the weather beacon on the Gulf Tower, the Kaufman’s clock, the Alcoa sign. The trolley line is based on the Drake line, which I used to take with my grandmother to go Downtown.
I’m finishing up the second round of edits for our forthcoming graphic novel, Rhiannon. Here is another sketch idea for the cover (staring down the mighty K.)
My character Jane Vanterpol from Flying Duchess, plus a video of me drawing it.
Pittsburgh bus on the cover of a sketchbook from 2013.

Sketch for Wed 9/4- conceptual ink drawing of Jane, from my comic, Flying Duchess.
Kind of a mash-up…Jane Vanterpol from my comic, Flying Duchess, dressed in gorilla uniform from the original Planet of the Apes.
